Refunds, Exchanges, Returns & Repairs

Return & exchange policy

We offer refunds or exchanges on all in-stock* items purchased through our online shop (this excludes custom, bespoke and made-to-order items).

Items must be returned within twenty-one days of purchase with the original receipt. You must provide your name, phone number, address and order number in your email correspondence.

Returned items must be unworn, in original condition and in the original packaging.

If an item is found to be faulty we will meet our obligations which may include refunding the purchase price, or providing a replacement if the item is returned within twenty-one days.

 

In the event that your product is lost or damaged in transit back to us, we will not be held liable. We strongly recommend that you send the item as registered and insured mail (for the full amount).

 We will not process a refund or exchange until we have received the returned item and have assessed that it is in original condition. We reserve the right to deny unreasonable repairs, returns and exchanges.

We require up to five business days from the time we receive the returned item at our Melbourne workshop to process your refund. Refunds are issued using the original payment method and will not include shipping costs.

 

Financial institutions may require additional days to process the refund before the funds are returned to your account.

*Please Note: For an item to be considered in-stock, the production timeline (lead time) located in the product description must read “in-stock”.

All other items are “made-to-order” and are not eligible for refund or exchange unless found to be faulty.

Please contact us before purchasing an item if you think you may want to exchange or return the item so we can advise you whether a return is possible.

Faulty items & repairs

Each piece of Liv Boyle jewellery is handmade by the artist from beginning to end.

The Artist carefully checks each piece for quality before we package and ship it to you.

If you have received an item that you believe is faulty for reason beyond the artist’s handcrafted design aesthetic, we will repair it for you.

Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches, oxidisation fading, tarnishing of metals and gemstones that have been knocked loose are not considered faults.

 

 Maintaining handmade jewellery is part of ensuring its longevity, so if your jewellery needs repair or a spruce-up as can occur with oxidisation and plating of metals, please email us with proof of purchase and a photograph of the item. 

We will happily get back to you with the best way to proceed and advise you if there will be a cost associated.

If you have received an item that proves to be faulty we will repair or exchange the original piece.

Please notify us of a faulty item immediately.

 

If your jewellery needs to be repaired please email us with your name and address, proof of purchase, product details and a photograph of the item. We will get back to you with the best way to proceed and if there will be a cost associated.

Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept exchanges or returns for any earrings however we do offer repair services for all earrings at a fee. 

The cost of returning goods for repair is the responsibility of the buyer. Delivery costs are non-refundable.

What can be returned or exchanged

In-stock* items in original condition and original packaging that are purchased through livboyle.com.au are eligible for exchange or refund within twenty-one days providing they have not been customised or made to order.

Please be aware that items not returned in the original condition, may be rejected and sent back to the customer at our discretion.

If you receive an item that is faulty, or significantly different to that shown or described to you, and we, in our reasonable opinion agree, you will be offered a refund, or the option to have the item repaired or exchanged.

All other items are "made-to-order” and are not eligible for refund or exchange, however, all adaption’s for a fee will be prioritised.

What can’t be returned or exchanged

Customised, bespoke or made-to-order items cannot be returned. However we do want you to be happy with your jewellery so we will always work closely with you to alter or resize the item to ensure it’s perfect for you. Because all alterations are made by hand this service does incur a fee which will be discussed with you in advance.

Below is a list of items that we do not accept returns and where relevant, exchanges on;

  • Items in possession of the buyer for longer than twenty-one days.

  • Gift vouchers cannot be refunded.

  • Products marked “on-sale”.

  • For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept exchanges or returns for earrings. 

  • Items with personal engraving.

  • Worn, altered or damaged merchandise.

  • Shipping fees.

How to return or exchange an item

All returns must first be authorised by Liv Boyle Jeweller before sending an item back.

 Please contact us with your return/exchange query within twenty-one days of receiving the item so we can assess your request.

In consultation with you, if we have agreed for your item to be returned in exchange for another size or product, please email us the details of the item you would like to receive in exchange, once we receive your returned goods, we will dispatch the exchanged item when we have a replacement in-stock, or, in the case of an exchange item requiring greater production lead times, we will inform you of the lead time you can expect for your original purchase to be to exchanged or adjusted.

The cost of returning the goods is the responsibility of the buyer. Original delivery costs are non-refundable nor can we be held responsible for delayed or lost packages returned to us.
